This week on Tuesday, 11-August-2009, we welcomed the first ever Sister Missionaries, in the West Indies Mission, to our island of St. Lucia. They were held up in customs for about two hours and then "hit the ground--running". They went straight to an appointment with their trainers, Elder Cromwell and Elder Williams; then they came to Young Men/Young Women to meet all that were there; and then out teaching again! They were finally able to make it home to their cute little apartment (next to us) that night about 9:30 PM.
Sister Girdharry is from Guyana and Sister Camejo is from Trinidad and we are excited that they are here!
They are excited that they are here. They were our speakers in Sacrament Meeting today--no rest for the weary! They continued to be busy this entire week--training and getting to know their area. Here they are by their door to their apartment the night they arrived....the next day on our back balcony!
These are the pictures we received when they were leaving for the MTC in Santos Domingo.
