Castries Branch Talent Show

A night of talent---planned by our Branch Clerk, Ganesh; for several weeks, he helped the youth practice their dancing and their singing.

Singing by eight year old, Kimberly Santos, was awesome--a voice of a 16 year old! The "Cha.Cha.Slide" was the most practiced talent and the youth loved doing it.

A crazy skit/dance by Kendrea, Rosey, Kacy, and Iva!

Denzal (Boomby) DeBeauville sang a Michael Jackson song (D'Anne helping with microphone). Ganesh invited Brother Joe (Gregory Joseph) and Shannon to help him with his comedy act about "wives" (!) Quite clever actually.

Kacy and Rosey performed a song together. Later, Kacy performed a fancy dance (even if she was still in her "unfancy" clothes--she's a cute crazy!)

Neal Leonce was part of an act with D'Anne DeBeauville. She is planning on studying music and the arts in college this next year....quite talented!

Jonelle Alphonse performing a modern dance--another one of our girls that is musically talented and plans on attending Julliard in the States someday. Here she is with Kacy in another dance that was really good.

A hit of the evening was when Brother Joe and Sister Marie danced together! They are a special couple in our Castries Branch, planning on attending the temple at the end of the month. And here is D'Anne again--she's awesome!

And when the night was over and birthday cake (for Ganesh) was served; it was time for just enjoying each other. Elder Williams and Elder Lang playing with the kids!

Visiting the Mary Anne Home

On Saturday, 29-August-2009, a group of us from the Castries Branch took our collected items of non-perishable foods, some clothing, etc.---and our song books to visit the Mary Anne Home in Castries. They loved us; we sang to three different groups of people there......and the ones of us that went enjoyed the experience. We all knew that we were doing the right thing that morning.

Minus Sister Collins (taking the pictures), this is our group! --a bus load!

And here are some of the people talking to us and singing with us!

A marvelous experience! They called our Branch President Marquis later and told us thanks and loved "how" we did it!

Castries Branch 24th of July!

We decided to introduce the "24th of July" to the Castries Branch. For several Sundays, Sister Collins taught the Primary children songs like, "Pioneer Children Sang as They Walked and Walked---" and we prepared for a Sacrament Meeting on July 26th that had Elder Collins speaking about the Mormon Pioneers trek across the country to the Salt Lake Valley, Sarah Damaze about pioneering, and Brother Felix spoke on the pioneers of the church in St. Lucia.

We had a party on Friday, 24-July-2009 at the church building with a pioneer movie, games, and lots to eat. Fifty-Six people attended!

Matthew, Brother Joe, President Marquis and Ganish gabbing......and the ladies sat talking!

Elder Collins telling some Pioneer Stories! Elder Moala with Sister Marquis...Shannon in the hallway.

Elder Moala just ignoring Kacy....Elder Endemann and Daneal.

Mona and Vern getting ready for the three legged race...Little Kaitlyn loving the ice cream!

The three legged race competition is on!

Elders Endemann and Moala enjoying Farrah and the Marquis family on the porch.

These gatherings are helping our branch love/like one another--making a huge difference!
