Island Zone Conferences

Since we have been on the island of St. Lucia, we have had the privilege of hosting three zone conferences for the Island Zone (St. Vincent, Grenada, and us), plus the four French Elders from Martinique--totals to be about 32 of us with the President, Sister Robison, and the Assistants. That means picking them all up from the airport, shuttling them to where they should go, supplying the Elders Breakfast, and fixing lunch for zone conference day. The Faux Couple from Vieux Fort have been great help in doing all this; and have stayed at our place each time.

March 26, 2009. The Woods from Grenada were with us (their last time before going home) at this zone conference. "Walking Tacos" were the item for lunch this conference. Elder Fox, grandson of good friends, Lee and Nikki Brady, left for home at the next transfer, shortly after this zone conference....had our picture taken with him for the occasion--best way to give him a hug!


Our island group consisted of us, Elders Clark, Garrett, Procter, West, Rosales and Nestegard and the Faux Couple.


On April 28th, my twin sister Joan and her husband, Arvin were here from the States to help and to enjoy our zone conference. Our group changed this conference as transfers happened after the last one. It now consisted of Elders Moala, Endemann, Rosales, and Muse. Marlon from our Branch was in attendance also--he anticipates being ready for a mission later in the summer.


A Baked-Potato Bar was enjoyed at lunch time!


The third Island Zone Conference was held four weeks later, 27-May-2009. A new couple, the Rasmussens are in Grenada; this was their second island conference.....a great addition to the Faux Couple (Vieux Fort, St. Lucia), and the Hattons (St. Vincent). And of course, for the last time, our beloved Mission President Robison and his awesome wife, Sister Robison. We did a lot of studying and asking questions of the President and Sister Robison this meeting.

Salad for the luncheon. Several helped the day before with all the shopping and preparations.
