Castries Branch Young Women

The Young Women of the Castries Branch here on St. Lucia have a real level of love for the gospel and will be leaders in the church someday--actually, some of them are today!
When we arrived, one of the first things that was happening was the Young Women New Beginnings Program.

Sister Justina De'Beauville placed a red collar scarf on Sister Lee Watene' (YW leader); then on one our newest members, Iva Joseph; and on Mel (counselor in the YW Presidency)....Every Young Woman received one of these as they arrived that evening to present their program of song. Elder Clark helped lead their music and sang a duet with Kacy Leonce (counselor in the YW Presidency). It was outstanding and made us realize that we had great strength in these young women.




Just recently, on May 5th, YW Activity night, I took snapshots of some of the girls making Mothers Day Cards and treat bags to be handed out after Sacrament Meeting Mothers' Day to all the mothers in our Castries Branch--May 10, 2009. This activity was the girls' idea--a thoughtful group!
