District Meetings Come Every Tuesday.

We either travel to Vieux Fort (one hour-15 minutes by Mitsubishi OR 50 minutes by local transport--and that's scary!) or the Vieux Fort Missionaries come to Castries. We enjoy the ride and have a meeting with our District leader conducting--evaluating our progress and studying how to do better; and then pick a spot for lunch together! Usually a rewarding-fun-day! Our last one was in Vieux Fort on 14-July-2009 - just a few days ago actually.

Another time back in May, we also visited Scooby's for lunch and met up with a new hair style.

When we were coming from the Chapel we passed the Caribbean and couldn't resist taking pictures! One would have thought that we had gone to Guyana--muddy water and all!

District Meeting at the Falls

We have a district meeting every Tuesday (except for Transfer Week) and this particular one on May 19, 2009, was at the set of Water falls that we found on the previous P-Day while wandering near Dennery and the Zipline! We joined with the Vieux Fort Elders Ash and DeMasters and the Faux Couple for this adventure in nature--Elders Endemann and Moala came with us from Castries. It takes about 35 minutes to travel there--well worth the travel!

Getting to the Waterfalls was great fun--small hike down into the rain forest.......through a creek bed........up over rocks........





The Faux Couple are fast becoming favorite friends! The four of us are enjoying our island and elders.

After the meeting, we had lunch North of Dennery and lounged a little on this balcony overlooking the Atlantic Ocean.

District Meeting 14-April-2009

We have the opportunity of traveling every other week to Vieux Fort for our District Meetings; and they travel our way to Castries on the opposite weeks. The travel time is about 1 hour and 20 minutes. We have become acquainted with the other Missionary Couple in Vieux Fort--Elder and Sister Faux; they are awesome! There are four Elders on our island; they just had a change in Vieux Fort this past transfer; we got to keep our Polynesian "Beats" (as they call themselves!)....we have become quite a "fearsome foursome".....teaching together, praying lots for the Branch together, and traveling places together!

After our meeting (we have study time out of our Preach My Gospel handbooks and evaluate our efforts in our area), we went downtown to look over The Plantation House. They cook their food in these pots....and there was a "love boat" to take our pictures by--Elder Rosales and Elder Muse are with our Elders Endemann and Moala.
