Two of the Young Women in our Branch have become great friends with us! They visit, eat with us, work on the computer, laugh a lot, and are just special girls! They visited one Sunday afternoon and stayed for a couple hours; we are helping Kacy Leonce apply for schooling in the States--having her do the work. She is 19 and this goal of hers would help her accomplish her wildest dreams...... Rosey Etienne just turned 16 and loves to come help. Age sometimes make no difference in friendship.
Look! Our new Branch President Marquis dropped in also on this Sunday to work on his computer--good for laughing and helping also!
Look at Rosey,s new "do". These girls really know how to do the "corn rows"! And are always sporting new ways of fixing their hair--cute- eh?eh?

Our own Castries Branch Building
We have shown you the building that Vieux Fort members meet in; and we got to thinking that you haven't seen our building yet. It is considered to be one of the nicest, non-church owned, buildings in the West Indies. The owner is now cleaning around the outside and making more parking areas. Following are some pictures.
Ready for Iva's Baptism a couple month's ago--taken coming up the stairs from the Elders' apartment-they live under the church. Elder Endemann and Elder Moala with Iva Joseph at the front of the building. Iva is the young lady that Sister Collins is teaching to read better.
We have a new look in the interior of the building now; Castries Branch received approximately 12 new pictures last month. The entrance foyer greets you with these pictures of Christ.
Here is our Chapel and in the Chapel Foyer, the pictures depict the Restoration of the Gospel.
These pictures are in the Relief Society Room and in the Primary Room. There are also pictures in the Young Womens Room and the Presidency Pictures in the Branch President's Office that we don't have pictures of at the moment.
Everyone is excited about our new look and the feeling that it brings as you walk through the door!

District Meetings Come Every Tuesday.
We either travel to Vieux Fort (one hour-15 minutes by Mitsubishi OR 50 minutes by local transport--and that's scary!) or the Vieux Fort Missionaries come to Castries. We enjoy the ride and have a meeting with our District leader conducting--evaluating our progress and studying how to do better; and then pick a spot for lunch together! Usually a rewarding-fun-day! Our last one was in Vieux Fort on 14-July-2009 - just a few days ago actually.
This is the building they use in Vieux Fort for their church meetings--up-up stairs!
Elders Endemann, Collins, and Moala looking off the balcony---now what are they doing! They have found a Tamarind Tree and we will have juice and/or a dip when we get home. Just a quiet moment waiting for the Faux Couple and their Elders to show.
Here they come! Elder Lang, Elder Sturdevant, Sister Faux and Elder Faux.
Class! .........................................and Lunch at Scooby's
Bamboo Forests on the way home.
Dennery Fishing Village--it must be a holiday--everyone looks to be in the water at the beach by the fishing docks!
Another time back in May, we also visited Scooby's for lunch and met up with a new hair style.
Elders Muse, Rosales, Endemann and Moala ready to eat upstairs at Scooby's Restaurant.
When we were coming from the Chapel we passed the Caribbean and couldn't resist taking pictures! One would have thought that we had gone to Guyana--muddy water and all!

P-Day 13-July-2009 With Elders
After finding the Cactus and different terrain on the North East Atlantic Side of the island on our ride Sunday, we decided that the Elders needed to travel with us this time and enjoy this part of our island. So, after the Elders e-mailed for P-Day and Elder Collins got an alignment and new tires on our Mitsubishi, we went exploring for a few hours. These are some of the sights:
What did we say?----Arizona!
On down the road (?) did we say "road" (?)----wooded trail.
Down into another cove that has an abandoned mango orchard---YUMMMM!
Then we ended the day with taking a birthday party to Kaitlyn Marquis--five years old!
Here she is with sister, Kimberly.
